Who can take part
- Your baby was born before 37 weeks of pregnancy.
- Your baby is between 0 and 30 days old (newborn).
- Your baby is in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) with a hospital-acquired infection caused by bacteria that are resistant to many other antibiotics.
- Your baby has already received colistin for at least 48 hours.
- Your baby has normal kidney function (serum creatinine less than 1.5).
- Your baby is not taking other medications that can harm the kidneys, such as amphotericin, gentamicin, or amikacin.
