Who can take part
- Your child must be between 1 month and 14 years old.
- Your child must have been on a breathing machine (ventilator) for more than 48 hours.
- Your child must not already have a lung infection from the ventilator.
- Your child must not be getting colistin through an IV or by mouth.
- Your child must not be scheduled to come off the ventilator within the next 24 hours.
