Precision dosing of antibiotics for critically ill children

Who can take part

  • Children from newborn up to 17 years 10 months old
  • Admitted to the NICU, PICU, or pediatric hematology-oncology unit
  • Has a confirmed or strongly suspected serious infection
  • Will start one of these IV antibiotics: amoxicillin-clavulanic acid, piperacillin-tazobactam, or meropenem, expected to be given for at least 2 days
  • Not currently on dialysis, ECMO, body cooling, or expected to pass away soon
  • No allergy to the assigned antibiotic and not pregnant
