Who can take part
- You are between 50 and 85 years old.
- You have mild cognitive impairment or dementia due to Alzheimer's disease (confirmed by a memory test and a special brain scan).
- You are not allergic to the contrast dyes used in MRI or ultrasound, and you have no metal implants that are not safe for MRI.
- You do not have a history of seizures, bleeding problems, serious heart conditions, or certain brain infections or changes seen on an MRI.
- You do not have two copies of the ApoE4 gene (a genetic variant).
- You are willing to have a device that uses sound waves to open the blood-brain barrier and to follow the study plan.
