Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You are scheduled for elective (non-emergency) chest surgery.
  • You have had a complete and clear chest CT scan within one month of your lung function test.
  • You are able to fully cooperate with breathing tests.
  • You do not have severe lung problems (like a collapsed lung or giant air pockets) or other major organ issues.
  • Your height is at least 1.45 m (if female) or 1.55 m (if male).
