  • You or your family member is an adult over 18 years old
  • Expected to stay in the ICU for more than 5 days
  • Not in the ICU after surgery (non-surgical patients only)
  • No diagnosis of a neuromuscular disease (like muscular dystrophy)
  • Not pregnant
  • No recent trauma at the measurement site
