Who can take part

  • Between 28 days and 18 years old.
  • On a breathing machine (invasive mechanical ventilation) in the pediatric ICU.
  • No major brain, nerve, or muscle diseases (like severe head injury, stroke, or Guillain-Barré).
  • Not have a condition that prevents movement (like a recent fracture or joint surgery).
  • Must be on the breathing machine for at least 72 hours (3 days).
