Who can take part
- You are an adult (18 years or older).
- You were admitted to the ICU for sepsis or acute respiratory failure and stayed in the ICU at least 72 hours.
- You were able to walk on your own (ambulatory) before this ICU admission.
- You have not had more than 2 ICU admissions in the past year.
- You are expected to live about 6 months or more after this ICU admission.
- You do not have a new or long-term nervous system condition that affects movement, and no serious orthopedic problem that would stop strength or function testing.
