Breathing vs. movement exercises for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.
This study compares two types of gentle exercises—breathing muscle training and a traditional Chinese movement practice called Baduanjin—to see which helps people with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy feel better and improve their daily life. If you have a thickened heart muscle but are stable and have mild symptoms, you may be able to join.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.

This study tests whether a 24-week exercise program can improve exercise tolerance in people with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (a thickened heart muscle). You may be asked to use phone-based tools and complete surveys during training.
This study tests whether a special breathing exercise program can help people who have had a heart attack and a procedure to open blocked heart arteries. The exercises strengthen the muscles you use to breathe, which may improve your recovery and quality of life.
This study tests whether strengthening your breathing muscles with a special device can improve your breathing and daily function. It is for people with chronic heart failure who are stable on their current medications and have not been hospitalized recently.
This trial tests a special breathing exercise program for people with heart failure. It aims to see if strengthening your breathing muscles can help you feel better and be more active.
This study tests whether breathing muscle training can improve exercise capacity and symptoms in people with a type of heart failure called HFpEF. You may qualify if you are already on certain heart medications and are stable enough to exercise.
This trial compares two different types of breathing muscle training to see which works better for people with heart failure and weak breathing muscles. You may join if you have heart failure with reduced pumping ability and are stable overall.
