Who can take part

  • You are an adult (18 or older) with a closed break in your shinbone (tibia).
  • You can start physical therapy within 2 weeks after surgery.
  • You do not have bone thinning conditions like osteoporosis.
  • You do not have poor blood circulation, blood clots, bleeding disorders, or sickle cell disease.
  • You do not have severe high blood pressure (above 180), kidney problems, or lymphedema.
