Who can take part

  • You are 18 to under 65 years old
  • You have a diagnosed knee “extensor” injury: quadriceps tendon rupture, patella tendon rupture, or a patella fracture
  • You plan to take part in the standard physical therapy (along with the study treatment)
  • You have no major circulation problems in the injured leg and no severe uncontrolled high blood pressure
  • You do not have conditions like sickle cell anemia or a history of blood clots in the legs/lungs (venous thromboembolism)
  • You are not dealing with other leg injuries that would prevent timely participation
