Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for a planned (non-emergency) heart surgery.
  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • Your health status before surgery is classified as ASA 3 or 4 (meaning you have a serious health condition).
  • You are not on dialysis for kidney failure, have not had a limb amputated, and are not pregnant.
  • You do not have a pacemaker or an implantable defibrillator.
