Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are scheduled for bypass surgery (CABG) or aortic valve replacement (AVR) as the only procedure (AtriClip allowed).
  • You have given both verbal and written consent to join.
  • Your heart function is normal (ejection fraction 45% or higher) and you have no signs of heart failure.
  • Your body weight is between 60 kg (132 lbs) and 120 kg (264 lbs).
  • Your hemoglobin level is 120 g/L or higher, and your kidney function is good (GFR 30 ml/min or more).
