Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 64 years old.
  • You have no past or current kidney disease, kidney failure, or kidney stones.
  • You have not taken any medications or contrast dye before surgery that could harm your kidneys.
  • Your pre-surgery kidney blood tests are normal.
  • You do not have a urinary tract infection or any urination problems.
  • You are classified as ASA 1 or ASA 2 (generally healthy or with mild disease).
