Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are scheduled for heart surgery, an interventional heart procedure, or a CT scan with contrast dye
  • Or you have already developed kidney injury after such a procedure
  • You have not had dialysis or a kidney transplant before the procedure
  • Your kidney function is not severely reduced before the procedure (serum creatinine not above 353 μmol/L)
  • You do not have active cancer
