Who can take part
- You have colorectal cancer on the left side (descending colon, sigmoid colon, or rectum) that has spread to other organs and cannot be removed by surgery.
- Your tumor has been tested and is RAS/BRAF wild-type (no mutations in those genes) and is pMMR/MSS (a sign of stable DNA repair).
- You have not had any prior chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery for metastatic colorectal cancer (though surgery to remove the primary tumor is okay).
- You are generally healthy enough for daily activities (ECOG performance status 0 or 1) and have adequate blood counts, liver, and kidney function.
- You are 18 years or older and willing to use effective contraception if sexually active.
- No history of cancer within the past 5 years (except certain skin cancers or cervical cancer in situ), no brain metastases, and no severe lung or eye problems.
