Cetuximab with FOLFIRI: continuous or intermittent for first-line metastatic colorectal cancer

Who can take part

  • You must have colorectal cancer that has spread to other parts of the body (stage IV) and cannot be removed with surgery.
  • Your tumor must have no mutations in the RAS or BRAF genes (called 'wild-type'). This will be confirmed by a blood test.
  • You cannot have had chemotherapy for advanced colorectal cancer, except for maybe 2 cycles of FOLFIRI before joining.
  • You need to be in generally good health (able to do normal activities, with good kidney, liver, and blood counts).
  • You must be 18 or older and willing to use effective birth control during and for a while after treatment.
  • You need to have a tumor sample available for testing and agree to genetic testing on your blood and tumor.
