Who can take part

  • Girls diagnosed with idiopathic (no known cause) early puberty starting at or before age 7.5
  • Breast development not beyond Tanner stage III (mild to moderate) and breast nucleus diameter 3 cm or less
  • Uterus volume at least 3 ml, ovary volume at least 1.5 ml, or follicle diameter at least 4 mm on ultrasound
  • Bone age less than 1 year ahead of actual age and bone age under 10 years
  • No prior treatment with puberty-blocking drugs (GnRH analogs) or sex hormones
