Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 35 years old, 60 or older, or 90 or older.
  • Your BMI is either 18.5–24.9 (lean) or 28 or higher (overweight).
  • You do not do intense exercise more than 5 times a week.
  • You do not have serious heart, lung, or metabolic diseases (like diabetes, heart failure, or active cancer).
  • You are not on special diets (like keto or intermittent fasting) or taking weight-loss drugs.
  • You have no metal implants that would prevent you from having an MRI scan, and you are not claustrophobic.
