Who can take part

  • You are between 40 and 89 years old
  • You are newly joining a specific medical weight loss program called NOVI OP+
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 30 or higher, or 27 or higher with a weight-related health problem like prediabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, or heart disease
  • You are not pregnant or nursing
  • You have not used certain diabetes or weight loss medications (like Ozempic or insulin) in the past 3 months
  • You do not have active cancer or certain mental health conditions that might affect the study
