Who can take part

  • You must have been diagnosed with COPD, asthma, lung cancer, or other lung/chest conditions that might be linked to pollution.
  • You need to live in Timis county in Romania and have a stable home address.
  • For the second part of the study, you need a special type of CT scan (HRCT) of your lungs taken within a specific time frame.
  • You must not have had any lung surgery in the past.
  • You must not have allergies to contrast dye (used in some CT scans).
  • You need to have had a breathing test (spirometry) and possibly a lung gas exchange test.
