Eye drop study for droopy eyelids in adults

Acquired Blepharophimosis

This study tests a new eye drop (oxymetazoline) to see if it can help lift droopy eyelids in adults. To join, you must have a certain amount of eyelid droop and some vision loss in your upper field of view, and you should feel that the droop bothers you enough to want treatment.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 75 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with acquired droopy eyelid in both eyes (not present since birth).
  • In your treated eye, the distance from your upper eyelid edge to your pupil center is between 0 and 2 mm.
  • You have some vision loss in the upper part of your field of view in the eye that will be treated.
  • You consider the droop bothersome and are willing to receive treatment for it.
  • You can self-administer the eye drops or have a caregiver do so, and you are not taking certain prohibited medications.
