Study of a treatment for droopy eyelid in Chinese patients

This study tests a new treatment for Chinese patients whose droopy upper eyelid (acquired blepharoptosis) seriously affects their vision. It may help if your eyelid droops low enough to block part of your sight and you haven't had previous corrective surgery or certain eye conditions.

Who can take part

  • You have at least one eye with a droopy upper eyelid that is making it harder to see (confirmed by a special vision test, with the same result twice in one day).
  • In that eye, the lid edge is very close to your eye's center (2 mm or less from the pupil).
  • Your eyesight in that eye is at least 20/80 (can see the big letter on an eye chart).
  • You have not had prior surgery for a droopy eyelid (except simple eyelid skin removal more than 3 months ago).
  • You are not using certain eye drops or treatments (like Botox, allergy drops, or glaucoma drops) that could affect the eye or the droop.
