Probiotics plus budesonide for IgA nephropathy

Glomerulonephritis, IGAProbioticsBudesonide

Part of Immune system & allergy, Kidney & urinary, Women’s health & pregnancy clinical trials.

This trial tests whether adding probiotics to a standard treatment (budesonide, an enteric-coated steroid) can help reduce protein in the urine of people with IgA nephropathy. It aims to see if the combination is more effective than budesonide alone.

Immunosuppressive treatment for IgA kidney disease in stage 3–4

This trial tests whether immunosuppressive therapy (medicine that calms the immune system) helps people with IgA nephropathy and moderately to severely reduced kidney function. It is intended for adults with confirmed IgA kidney disease who still have significant protein in the urine despite standard blood-pressure kidney protection treatment.

Budesonide capsules for IgA kidney disease

This trial tests whether a special steroid capsule called budesonide can help treat IgA nephropathy, a kidney disease where your immune system damages the kidneys. You would take this medication along with standard care to see if it slows kidney damage and reduces protein in your urine.

Early use of a targeted budesonide for IgA nephropathy

This trial tests starting a special form of budesonide (Nefecon) early in people with IgA nephropathy, a kidney disease. The goal is to see if it can reduce protein in the urine and protect kidney function.

Study of gut microbes and blood chemicals in IgA kidney disease

This trial looks at how bacteria in the gut (microbiome) and substances in the body (metabonomics) relate to IgA nephropathy, a kidney condition. The goal is to understand patterns that may help explain the disease and improve future care.
