Hydroxychloroquine for IgA nephropathy

Who can take part

  • You have IgA nephropathy confirmed by a kidney biopsy (any time in the past)
  • Your last kidney biopsy showed at least one sign of active damage
  • Your urine protein level is high (albumin/creatinine ratio over 300 mg/g)
  • You are already taking two kidney-protecting medicines (RAAS blocker and SGLT2 inhibitor) for at least 1–3 months
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you and your partner will use effective birth control if needed
