Who can take part

  • You have chronic dacryocystitis (long-term infection of the tear sac).
  • You have a primary blockage of the tear duct that leads from the eye to the nose.
  • You have a lacrimal mucocele (a cyst in the tear sac filled with mucus).
  • You have a lacrimal fistula (an abnormal opening from the tear sac to the skin).
  • You are at least 5 years old and in good health for general anesthesia.
