Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are in good health (classified as ASA I or II).
  • You are scheduled for tear-duct (DCR) surgery under general anesthesia.
  • You do not have an active infection around the eye.
  • You have no bleeding problems, such as a high INR, low platelets, or use of blood thinners that were not stopped.
  • You do not have uncontrolled high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, or liver/kidney failure.
