Who can take part
- You have a type of advanced or metastatic cancer (like esophageal, bile duct, pancreatic, or stomach cancer) that shows neuroendocrine markers on biopsy.
- You have at least one tumor that can be measured on scans (like CT or MRI).
- You are in good enough health to perform daily activities (ECOG score 0 or 1).
- You have not had any previous chemotherapy or other systemic treatment for your cancer.
- Your urine protein level is low (less than 2+ on a dipstick test) or if higher, no more than 1 gram in a 24-hour urine collection.
- Your doctor expects you to live more than 3 months.
- You do not have uncontrolled high blood pressure (systolic BP below 150 and diastolic BP below 90).
- You do not have active bleeding or a bleeding disorder.
- You have not had a serious stroke or heart disease in the past.
- You have not had another cancer in the last 5 years, except for treated skin cancer or cervical cancer in situ.
