Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older
- You have been diagnosed with rectal adenocarcinoma (a type of rectal cancer)
- Your cancer is at stage cT2-4N0 or cT1-T4N+ (has not spread to distant parts of the body, may involve nearby lymph nodes)
- Your planned treatment includes standard chemoradiation (radiation plus capecitabine) with or without additional contact therapy, and possibly chemotherapy before radiation
- You do not have metastatic disease (cancer that has spread to other organs)
- You have not had pelvic radiation before
