Who can take part

  • You have geographic atrophy (a type of advanced dry age-related macular degeneration) in at least one eye
  • The area of damage in your study eye is between 2.5 and 17.5 square millimeters
  • Your vision in the study eye is 20/80 or better (you can read some letters on an eye chart)
  • You are willing to get meningococcal and pneumococcal vaccines before starting the study
  • You have not had any eye injections for any reason in the last 6 months
  • You do not have wet macular degeneration or other eye conditions that could affect your vision
