Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are scheduled for subtotal or total parathyroidectomy (with or without transplant of parathyroid tissue elsewhere).
  • You have tertiary hyperparathyroidism, recurrent hyperparathyroidism, or secondary hyperparathyroidism with any stage of chronic kidney disease.
  • You are not having surgery for primary hyperparathyroidism.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You can provide written consent and complete follow-up visits.
