Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You have primary hyperparathyroidism (high calcium and high PTH hormone).
  • Imaging tests show only one enlarged parathyroid gland.
  • You are scheduled for a small-incision parathyroid surgery using a special sensor (PTS) to check the gland's blood supply.
  • You have not had prior parathyroid or major neck surgery, and you are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Your kidney function is good (eGFR above 30).
