Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older
  • You have cancer that started somewhere else and spread to your bone, causing pain (pain score of 2 or higher on a 0–10 scale)
  • The painful bone spot is between 1.5 cm and 5 cm in size and shows up bright on a PET scan
  • You have not had radiation to that same bone area before
  • You can stop other cancer treatments (like chemotherapy) for at least one week before and after the radiation
  • You are able to fill out pain and quality of life questionnaires and agree to follow the study rules
