Who can take part

  • You have a confirmed diagnosis of multiple myeloma (based on a tissue/pathology test).
  • You have one specific painful bone lesion that shows up on scans (and is your main pain target).
  • Your pain is at least “moderate” on a pain questionnaire (Brief Pain Inventory score 2 or higher).
  • Your daily functioning is fairly good (ECOG 0–2), and you can understand and sign consent.
  • That painful bone spot has not had radiation before, and it has not had palliative surgery before.
  • You cannot be pregnant, and you don’t have a dangerous spine situation (spinal cord/cauda equina pressure), and the lesion isn’t at the skull base/orbit, or at a place needing urgent bone stabilization/surgery.
