Comparing two IVF methods for severe sperm shape issues

Who can take part

  • Woman must be between 20 and 37 years old when starting IVF
  • Woman must have at least three mature eggs retrieved for the procedure
  • Male partner must have severe sperm shape issues (99-100% abnormal forms, including round-head or tapered-head sperm)
  • Couple must not have untreated blocked fallopian tubes (hydrosalpinx)
  • Couple must not have a history of two or more miscarriages
  • Couple must not have known uterine problems or genetic abnormalities that would prevent pregnancy
