  • You had a first stroke that caused trouble swallowing (oral phase dysphagia).
  • Your stroke and swallowing problems started within the last 6 months.
  • You are right-handed.
  • You can follow simple instructions and are willing to have brain scans (MRI).
  • You do not have metal implants, severe aphasia, or other conditions that would interfere with the study.
