Who can take part

  • You or your loved one had a severe traumatic brain injury (Glasgow Coma Scale score 3 to 8) at least 7 days ago.
  • You or your loved one is 18 years or older.
  • Vital signs (like blood pressure and heart rate) are stable.
  • No history of mental health disorders or brain diseases that get worse over time (like Alzheimer's).
  • No uncontrolled epilepsy, serious heart rhythm problems, or a pacemaker.
  • Not pregnant, and no conditions that would interfere with placing sensors on the scalp.
