Who can take part

  • Your child is 12 years old or younger.
  • The kidney stone is between 10 and 20 millimeters (about 0.4 to 0.8 inches).
  • Your child is healthy enough for surgery (low anesthesia risk).
  • You are able to give permission for your child to take part.
  • Your child does not have a bleeding disorder, active urinary infection, or unusual kidney shape.
