Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a small, early-stage lung cancer that has not spread to lymph nodes or other parts of the body.
  • Your tumor can be reached both through the chest wall and through the airways using a special tube.
  • You are not a candidate for surgery or you choose not to have surgery, and you agree to have ablation (freezing) as your first treatment.
  • You are not taking blood thinners (except certain newer ones) and can stop them before the procedure.
  • You do not have severe bleeding problems, serious lung disease, active infections, or other major health issues that would make the procedure unsafe.
