Who can take part

  • You have acute carbon monoxide poisoning (either accidental or intentional) and are getting hyperbaric oxygen treatment in the hospital.
  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You are admitted to Nebraska Medicine hospital.
  • You are not on a breathing machine (ventilator).
  • You are not admitted to the Critical Care Medicine Service.
  • You are not allergic to dexamethasone (a steroid).
