Who can take part

  • Your child is between 2 and 5 years old.
  • Your child has a sudden wheezing episode (acute wheeze).
  • You and your doctor are not sure if oral steroids (medicine to open airways) will help.
  • Your child's wheeze is not severe or life-threatening.
  • Your child was not born more than 4 weeks early (before 36 weeks of pregnancy).
  • Your child has not been in this study before.
