Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You must have been diagnosed with acute pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in the lungs).
  • You cannot have a history of heart failure.
  • You cannot have valve disease in the heart (valvular heart disease).
  • You cannot have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
  • You cannot have congenital heart disease, sepsis, or chronic kidney disease.
