Who can take part

  • Your child must be between 1 month and 18 years old.
  • Your child must have gone without eating for at least 3 days (starved) and then started receiving nutrition again.
  • Your child must be severely underweight or malnourished (body mass index z-score less than -2).
  • Your child must not have chronic kidney disease, liver cirrhosis, or an endocrine disease.
