Who can take part

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must be able to understand and follow study instructions.
  • You should not have any skin problems or allergies to metal where the electrode will be placed.
  • If you are a patient, you must have a diagnosis of myopathy or neuropathy and need a needle EMG test.
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You cannot take certain medications like muscle relaxants, statins, or benzodiazepines.
