Can a Cough Monitor Work in Children?

Who can take part

  • Your child is between 1 and 18 years old
  • If your child has cystic fibrosis: they must have a confirmed diagnosis and be feeling well (clinically stable) when joining the study
  • If your child is a healthy control: they have no chronic lung or heart conditions, like asthma, cystic fibrosis, or sleep apnea
  • Your child does not need nighttime breathing support or extra oxygen
  • Your child does not share a bedroom with a sibling, and does not split time between two households
  • Your child has not used oral or IV antibiotics (antibiotics taken by mouth or through a vein) in the last 2 weeks, except for routine azithromycin
