- You had a first-ever mild stroke or TIA (not major).
- You can start antiplatelet treatment within 24 hours of your first symptoms.
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You did not receive the clot-busting drug rt-PA for this stroke.
- You have not had any major bleeding, stomach issues, or surgery in the past 3 months.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
