Who can take part
- You had a mild stroke or a mini-stroke (TIA) for the first time
- You are between 18 and 75 years old
- You can start antiplatelet medicine within 24 hours of symptoms starting
- You are not eligible for the clot-busting drug rt-PA
- You do not have any major health problems like active cancer, heart attack in the last 6 weeks, or bleeding disorders
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
