Shorter pelvic radiation with HDR boost for prostate cancer

Who can take part

  • You must have a confirmed diagnosis of prostate cancer.
  • Your cancer must be high-risk or unfavorable intermediate-risk (based on tumor stage, Gleason score, or PSA level).
  • You should not have had radiation therapy to the pelvic area before.
  • You cannot have inflammatory bowel disease, active connective tissue disorders, or be on blood thinners.
  • You must be willing to have a rectal spacer (a gel placed between the prostate and rectum to protect the rectum during treatment).
