Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older
  • You are currently in the hospital for heart failure with congestion (fluid buildup)
  • Your heart's pumping strength (ejection fraction) is 40% or less
  • You are only taking small doses of certain heart failure medications (like ACE inhibitors, ARBs, beta-blockers, or MRAs)
  • Your blood pressure is above 90 mmHg, heart rate is at least 60 bpm, and potassium levels are normal
  • You do not have severe kidney disease, recent heart attack/stroke, or other serious health issues that could affect participation
