- You have had a spinal cord injury for more than one year
- You are not currently taking antispastic or antidepressant medications
- You do not have a pacemaker or a history of blood clots, osteoporosis, or recent leg injuries
- You do not have other nerve or muscle diseases
- You have no injuries or bone thinning in your legs
